Vibrant Critters

A vibrant nature themed mural painted in Wodonga during my 6 month mural artist residency

Category: Animals & Nature Murals

In 2021 going into 2022 I began a 6 month full time mural artist contract with Wodonga City Council, during this time I was to build each and every project from the ground up including all paper work, permits, designs, confirmations, paint sourcing, painting itself and all other duties it takes to not only create but to facilitate a large scale mural project. During this time I created “Vibrant Critters” which became one of the 10 murals in town.

This mural was located not only at the Baranduda Community Centre but right next door was a childcare centre and for this reason I wanted to take inspiration from the local environment in the most vibrant way possible while also including some imaginative elements for the kids to become curious with and what I came to in the end the beautiful Rainbow Lorikeet & Green Frog with the most vibrance I could possibly add. This mural was very pleasantly received and was the first of 7 murals I would paint in the Baranduda area just out of Wodonga.

See this mural come to life here on my youtube channel: Lukas Kasper Painting “Vibrant Critters” I have also created a full length street art tour of the murals I created during my 6 month mural artist residency in Wodonga, find it here: Lukas Kaspers Wodonga Street Art Tour.
