I was approached by Melbourne Skydeck to create a mural that would bring a taste of Melbourne’s famous street art culture 88 floors above the city. The idea was to create something that both locals and visitors could enjoy, capturing the creativity and character that Melbourne is so well known for. Bringing street art into such an iconic space offered the chance to celebrate the city’s culture in a unique and elevated way.
For this mural, I took an interactive approach, designing a piece that encourages people to engage with it and capture that perfect photo moment. Inspired by the popular winged-style mural, I added my own spin by incorporating iconic Melbourne landmarks, sporting imagery, and graffiti elements spelling out ‘Skydeck Melbourne.’ The final result is a vibrant, playful artwork that reflects the city’s identity while transforming the space into something memorable. It’s a reminder of how murals can connect with people and add a distinctive touch to public and commercial spaces across Melbourne.
