Inspired by local history and future alike and commissioned by Brimbank City Council

Perth Avenues New Mural

Category: Animals & Nature

Title: "West Together"

Description: This mural created by Lukas Kasper brings to life a vibrant and lively local story. It features a series of visuals that capture the essence of the area in an imaginative and engaging manner.

The mural includes animals from the local environment such as the Kingfisher, Cunningham Skink, and Galah, all interacting with elements inspired by their surroundings. Firstly a bike to represent the locals that frequently visit the area, place-making visuals like bunting flags that showcase imagery from the #wearebrimbank signage displayed at the shop fronts and most notably a large 'W' that the Galah is flying away with. This same ‘W’ can be found atop the building as a sculpture, which has become an iconic symbol of this central meeting point for local business and the community alike.

With its unique style, vibrant colour palette, and lively local story, this mural resonates with both locals and visitors, aiming to elicit an instant smile from all who see it.

This mural was commissioned by the Eco Development team of Brimbank City Council.
