A Mermaid Mural for The Roe Australia

I created this underwater-themed restaurant mural for The Roe Australia in Glen Waverley, Melbourne, a unique seafood restaurant and gallery centred around Australian sea urchin. The mural features a mermaid inspired by the Queen of Sea Urchins, bringing the restaurant’s ocean-focused identity into the space through a bold, atmospheric artwork. I designed the composition to work with the surrounding seating, using a gradual fade to black around the edges so the mural blends naturally into the interior while creating a strong focal point for diners. The project was an opportunity to combine my experience as a Melbourne mural artist with The Roe Australia’s focus on sea urchins, marine life, art and ocean conservation, creating a custom restaurant mural that feels connected to both the food and the atmosphere of the space.
