Live Painting a Bus Mural at a Melbourne Arts Festival
Live Street Art That Becomes Part of the Event
This live painting mural was created on a full-size bus during an arts festival in Melbourne, turning an enormous blank surface into a live piece of street art while the event unfolded around it. Painted from shoulder to shoulder across the bus, the artwork became part of the festival atmosphere as I worked through the heat, music and crowds while a DJ played nearby.
I've completed a growing number of live painting projects for Melbourne events, festivals and creative activations, and it's one of my favourite ways to work. Rather than simply displaying a finished artwork, live painting gives audiences the opportunity to watch a mural develop from a blank surface into a completed piece. It adds movement, interaction and a visual element that continues throughout the event.
Looking for a Live Mural Artist for Your Event?
Live mural painting can work across all kinds of spaces and events, from arts festivals and street art events to music festivals, brand activations, corporate events and community celebrations. Large walls, shipping containers, vehicles and other unconventional surfaces can all become part of the experience.
My street art background and adaptable painting style allow me to create artwork that feels energetic and engaging in a live environment, while working within the space, timeframe and atmosphere of the event.
If you're looking for a Melbourne mural artist or street artist for live painting, I can create an artwork that gives your audience something to watch, photograph and interact with while the event is happening.
