Vibrant Interior Street Art Mural in a Melbourne Apartment
A Melbourne-Inspired Mural Designed for a Unique Airbnb Experience
I was approached by a new Melbourne homeowner who wanted to turn his apartment into something more distinctive than a standard rental. A passionate fan of Melbourne's street art and vibrant public art culture, he hired me to bring my own street art style into the interior with the intention of creating a memorable Airbnb experience that reflected the character and energy of Melbourne.
The artwork was designed to flow naturally through the apartment, moving from the living room through into the bedroom and connecting the spaces with one continuous visual language. Using my signature flowing linework, bold shapes and vibrant colour, I created a statement piece that made the interior feel more like a creative Melbourne space than a conventional apartment.
Transforming an Interior With Custom Street Art
Before the painting could begin, I carefully prepared the apartment with extensive masking, drop sheets and surface protection. Once everything was ready, the walls became a blank canvas for a large-scale interior mural that completely changed the atmosphere of the space.
The result was a colourful, immersive artwork designed to give visitors something they wouldn't find in a typical accommodation. For Airbnb hosts, property owners, hotels and accommodation businesses, a custom mural can be a powerful way to create a memorable interior and give a space its own identity.
My approach combines a genuine Melbourne street art background with custom mural design, allowing me to create artwork that feels bold, energetic and connected to the city while still being carefully designed for the space it occupies.
