Fun In The Sun

A flowing Vibrant mural painted in Wodonga during my 6 month mural artist residency

Underpass Mural In Baranduda

Category: Unique Shapes

In 2021 going into 2022 I began a 6 month full time mural artist contract with Wodonga City Council, during this time I was to build each and every project from the ground up including all paper work, permits, designs, confirmations, paint sourcing, painting itself and all other duties it takes to not only create but to facilitate a large scale mural project. During this time I created “Fun In The Sun” which became one of the 10 murals in town.

Originally this Baranduda Underpass was not an inviting space with mud and muck caked on the walls and wasps infesting the space we needed to bring some colour, playfulness and character to the space so I delved into my traditional street art stylings to put together a vibrant mural that would be a beaming light of positivity for the local community. This mural tracked through the entire tunnel covering every inch of the space with love hearts, flowers, eyes, stairs and flowing shapes combined to make a lively pattern.

See this mural come to life here on my youtube channel: Lukas Kasper Painting “Fun In The Sun” I have also created a full length street art tour of the murals I created during my 6 month mural artist residency in Wodonga, find it here: Lukas Kaspers Wodonga Street Art Tour.
