When a brand-new hospitality destination prepares to open its doors, creating an unforgettable first impression is everything. Set in Sale, Victoria, Brevet Brewing emerged with a vision to become one of the premier independent breweries in the local region. Rather than going for a standard corporate paint job, the team wanted a massive, floor-to-ceiling focal point that anchored the entire venue's atmosphere.
Stretching all the way from the floor to the roof, this custom installation was designed to break away from generic brewery aesthetics. By combining abstract visual directions with deep local connections, the project turned a massive blank wall into an immersive visual centerpiece for the entire community.
Design Inspiration: Aviation History, Branding, and Flight
Every great mural starts with a story. To build a concept that truly belonged to Brevet Brewing, the creative process involved working closely with the owner to dive deep into their core identity, visual palette, and brewing philosophy.
Aviation Heritage & Wing Motifs: Drawing inspiration from Sale’s rich local aviation background and the brewery’s core branding, stylized wings became a foundational element of the composition.
Custom Color Theory: The color palette was pulled directly from the brewery’s brand identity, ensuring the expansive artwork flowed seamlessly with the venue's interior architecture and atmosphere.
Abstract Creative Direction: Stepping away from predictable imagery, the execution utilized a distinct abstract approach. The scale of the wall allowed for sweeping lines and dynamic movement, making the space feel alive from every angle of the taproom.

This massive installation was proudly made possible through a collaboration with The Middle of Everywhere—the iconic Central Gippsland tourism and regional brand managed through the Wellington Shire.
Representing the heart of Gippsland, "The Middle of Everywhere" champions local culture, creative growth, and regional pride across towns like Sale. Because this initiative places a heavy emphasis on community vibrancy and local identity, their official branding and ethos became an integral part of the narrative, with their stamp proudly embedded within the final artwork. With their support helping fund and champion the installation, the mural stands as a celebration of what regional collaboration can achieve.
