Painting a custom mural for my “Street Art Collection” line with Doritos

Category: Street Art Projects

As a part of the release of my “Street Art Collection” custom packs of Doritos “Mayhem Kebab, The Kingpin Burger & Fire & Fury Pizza” I was commissioned by Doritos to paint a large scale mural advertising the collaboration right in the middle of Melbourne. The same painting also went up by artist friends in Sydney & QLD. It was one thing designing the packs but to then paint them back into the public was incredible!

After going back and forth with doritos we came up with a visual to go with including a simple background pattern and realistic chip pattern subject up front with all our key visuals to tie the whole project together. With transparent spray paint for reflections and specific colour sourcing the packets came up perfect! A perfect way to cap off my largest brand collaboration to date.

It’s one thing to put a poster up to advertise a project but a one of a kind painting really is that much better and oddly enough when you consider printing and painting costs it really can be the smarter and more viable option.

Further info on the collaboration

Doritos is leveling up its flavour offering with the launch of the new Doritos Street Art collection.

Available from today for a limited time only, Doritos has taken inspiration from the streets to create three new bold street food flavours – The Kingpin Burger, Mayhem Kebab and Fire and Fury Pizza – now available in the iconic Doritos chip form.

The new range combines iconic and beloved street food flavours with bold, bespoke street art designs, celebrating the power of street art and bold self-expression to encourage Aussies to express themselves without fear of judgement.

To bring the collection to life, Doritos teamed up with Melbourne based street artist, Lukas Kasper, to create the street art designs, utilising the product packaging as his canvas and the flavours as his inspiration.

Doritos Senior Brand Manager Kat Miller says, “Utilising our packs as a canvas to celebrate everyday bold moves & self-expression is a new space for the brand and we’re very excited to finally be able to share one of our boldest ranges yet with the launch of the Doritos Street Art Collection.”
